If you ever get a "Help me, someone i know died and left me money" e-mail from someone claiming to be from the country of NIgeria, DO NOT REPLY! They want your bank account number to wipe you out. "Nigeria" is a code word they use to keep track of the thousands of scams going on at once.

I get alot of fraud emails. I get people sending me e-mails on stationary used by big online companies(PayPal, Microsoft Network, America Online, ect.) The PayPal ones try to make me open a non-existand paypal account, so they can swipe the mony within. The Microsoft ones contain viruses disguised as Microsoft updates.

I respond usually with some "nice" and "friendly" comments

They actually pulled that off on my grandmother sending her a check and when she deposited it was fraud and so they got her account number and she had to close the account immediately.

I get stuff like that occasionally. Mostly about a millionare in Africa wanting to 'share' his money with me. Something like that. I never read one carefully enough to get the whole storie down.

    Thanks for the banner, Sombolia.

I don't have a bank account. How can I wire money to complete strangers? lol

I get fishing scams related to PayPal too. I don't have a PayPal account.

I also get weird emails about a strange international lottery I never heard about.

Hey, don't diss the Viagra offers, Viagra saved my marriage. Wait... no, I'm not married.

    :knowdees: :badnews: :squash:

*hyperventilates and passes out on the ground* Yeah... I remember my first toy sailboat, she was a doozy. Batten the hatches, Mr. Red Beard! O.o *dies*

Ehem, but moving back on topic...

I just don't check my inbox anymore unless it's my gmail account.
