    thanks anyway..

    I read this:
The "Legend of the Lion King" is a great show for all ages, however, the kids will love it more! The show's Theatre is located directly across from Cinderella's Golden Carousel, left of the Castle.

Shows are every hour and the lines can be long, try to hit the earliest show or one before closing to avoid the long lines and to assure yourself a great seat.

As you enter you will see large wall pictures of the characters in the "Lion King," such as Simba, Nala, and Mufasa. The first section you will enter will be your pre-show area where you will meet your Narrator, Rafiki, the baboon.

Rafiki goes on to explain what the show is about and to sit back and relax, he even cracks some jokes about the audience! The lights go down, and a screen appears in which you watch the first scene from the animated movie, "The Lion King." This scene contains the famous song, "The Circle of Life" in which you will see a gathering of every type of animal in anticipation of the new lion cub, Simba.

The doors to your RIGHT will open and you will be seated for the next portion of the show, the stage show. I suggest you sit towards the BACK because the stage is raised and being to close you will miss things that are going on towards the back of the stage.

This is the best puppetry you will see anywhere! Your kids will think they are really seeing Mufasa and Simba having a father/son chat or Timon and Pumbaa eating live bugs! (Yuck)

Our first musical number is "Just Can't Wait to be King" sung by little Simba and his annoying bird friend, Zazu. Each scene is combined with puppets and animated scenes played in the background.

Scar makes his appearance in the next scene singing his personal song "Be Prepared" with the laughing hyenas, Bonzai, Shenzi, and Ed.
Scar will appear on the LEFT side of the stage, for those children who do not like him. As his scene begins, smoke is shot out of cannons to provide the dark and misty atmosphere of his lair, so be aware!

The next scene always breaks my heart as I'm sure for a lot of you as well. They mix in the Scar, Mufasa, and Simba puppets in with the background of the antelope stampede which extinguishes Mufasa's light. Simba is forced to leave the Pridelands, never to look back...

My favorite two characters make their appearance in the next scene. Timon, the Meerkat, and Pumbaa, the Warthog, sing their signature song "Hakuna Matata." This is a GREAT number for the kids!! This is also an important scene as we see Simba grow from cub to lion.

This scene is where my daughter started to cover her eyes and groan as the song "Can't You Feel The Love Tonight" plays as Simba and Nala fall in love.

Simba then searches for understanding of his father's death as he visits Rafiki for an answer. In doing this, he is visited by his father's spirit and reassured that he is part of the Circle of Life. Simba is filled with new life and travels back to the Pridelands to reclaim the land and put Scar in his place. The fight between Simba and Scar is short and on screen, nothing scary for the kids.

The ending, as in the movie, provides a feeling of fullness as it teaches the lesson that everything has a circle of life, as Simba and Nala present their own lion cub to the new following of animals.

Side Note: all actors and singers who represented the chracters in the movie also provide the singing and acting parts in this show as well.

Don't miss this great show and as always, have a great vacation at Walt Disney World!
WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THAT BEING THE SAME VOICES AND ALL!!!

The Legend of The Lion King was a fantastic show. Everything about it was amazing. Fortunately, I live right here, 30 minutes from Walt Disney World so I was able to see it a few times. I was devastated when they discontinued the show.

The original voices... if I remember correctly, most were the original voices. Of course, this was just a playback; the puppeteers did the real magic. After the wonderful musical Circle of Life intro, and then the puppet show, you were escorted into one of the most fantastic places on earth: A Lion King Gift Shop. It was heaven. I can even remember items that were on the shelves.

I have really, really missed this show for several years and will continue to do so for many years to come.

My wife and I saw this at DisneyWorld Florida a few years back. It was probably the best show we saw all day at the park. Definately a must see for die-hard fans and otherwise.
